Shackley becomes DS Anna Shackley, who recently retired as a pro after being diagnosed with heart irregularities, has taken up a new role as sports director with the Scottish Alba Development Road Team. The 23-year-old had a promising career, winning a bronze medal at last year’s World Championship Under-23 road race. She is set to take a sports director’s course at the UCI HQ in Switzerland later this year.
