Researchers find new cure-all for snake bites

A TEAM of researchers led by the Technical University of Denmark report to have found a broad-spectrum anti-venom that targets venom from many snakes using a specific kind of small-sized antibodies called nanobodies.

For the study, published in the journal Nature on October 29, the scientists injected venom from 18 African snakes (like black mamba and cape cobra) on mice and camelids and found eight nanobodies that neutralised toxins from the snake venom.
