Is there anything better than a Spidey sequel to start 2025?

Following the ports of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales back in 2022, Sony has now sped up the process of PlayStation to PC with Marvel's Spider-Man 2. So, what better way to kick off 2025 than swinging through the streets with the highest performance and fidelity possible?

In fact, this is now a 15-month turnaround for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 compared to the 47 months fans had to wait for the first Spidey release on Windows, and two years for the Miles spinoff. It seems Sony is finally realising the financial benefits of bringing its biggest titles to the platform, while those on Steam and the Epic Games Store can revel in accessing one of the best games of this generation earlier than anticipated.

Even though the official specs have yet to be unveiled (as of the time of writing), there are plenty of reasons to get excited about the superhero sequel. For one, the game is being handled by Dutch developer Nixxes Software, a subsidiary of Sony that has worked on everything from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut to most recently, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
