Rate cards

I'm a newbie and I've just been asked to supply a rate card to a potential client. What information should I have on my rate card and should I quote an hourly rate or a day rate? Also, can I just email my rates or should I present them in a better way? What do other photographers do? Carly Harris

It's totally up to you how you charge out your services and how you present this to your clients, Carly. Many photographers design a rate card as it looks more professional than just simply emailing your prices over but you also have the option to list a few items. A quick and easy way to design a rate card is to use Canva (canva.com) and pick from one of their many templates. You have to pay for the Pro ones, but there are some free options too.
