British sitcom Man About the House has arrived on Free View Channel That's TV with much fanfare - hailed in some quarters as brilliant.

Those with better memories lapped it up when it was screened with its spin-offs George and Mildred and Robin's Nest on ITV 3.

Man About the House was created by Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer. It starred Richard O'Sullivan, Paula Wilcox, Sally Thomsett, Yootha Joyce and Brian Murphy. Six series were broadcast on ITV from 1973 to 1976.

Its premise was a man, Robin Tripp, played by O'Sullivan, shared a London flat with two single women, Chrissy and Jo, played respectively by Wilcox and Thomsett.

Their landlord and landlady, George and Mildred Roper, Murphy and Joyce, lived in the ground-floor flat.
