A thug slashed a man’s head open with a key after a group made comments about the victim's girlfriend on a night out.

Mohammed Suleman Ali was with three others in a parked car when he got out and lunged at the man who stopped to ask what they had said.

Ali, 23, was jailed for more than four years at Leeds Crown Court after admitting Section 18 GBH with intent, along with drug dealing in cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon from another incident.

Prosecutor Louise Pryke said the Ali had been driving a VW Golf that was pulled over by police on the evening of February 23, 2023, in Chapeltown.
