Tens of thousands of fans snap up tickets for United friendly in Dublin

Leeds United are understood to have already sold tens of thousands of tickets for August's pre-season friendly with AC Milan.

The Whites will be backed by more than 30,000 Leeds fans at Dublin's Aviva Stadium in 10 weeks' time when they face the Italian giants.

Following an initial two-day pre-sale period, open to Elland Road season ticket holders and those with a valid club membership, and the first 24 hours of general sale, Leeds reported 30,000+ seats sold at the Republic of Ireland's national stadium.

Accounting for online vendor Ticketmaster's service fee, Leeds are expected to earn upwards of £750,000 in matchday revenue from the pre-season fixture alone, with 20,000 more seats still available.
