Leeds is to become the UK's first ever City of Maths.

So sharpen your pencils and dig out your protractors as the city becomes the UK's first City of Maths as part of the two-year celebration which aims to prove that numbers aren’t just for exam halls and tax returns, but for creativity and fun.

Hosted exclusively in Leeds throughout 2026 and 2027, City of Maths is a pioneering initiative that will transform the city into a vibrant hub of mathematical discovery, play and community engagement.
