I'll have a pea please – Brits each eat 9,000 of them a year

The nation will be popping as it celebrates Great British Pea Week, from July 7 to July 13.

It aims to enhance understanding and awareness of the heritage and provenance of peas. The celebration was launched by the pea-vining industry and the Yes Peas! Campaign in 2015.

The British Growers Association runs the Yes Peas! Campaign, which is funded by machinery companies, freezers and growers.
