Homecoming of Harrison's classic 20th century poem

Tony Harrison's V is regarded as one of the great English poems of the 20th century.

First published in the London Review of Books in January 1985, then as a book by Bloodaxe in November that year, 2025 is its 40th anniversary.

To mark it, the LRB approached Leeds-based theatre company Slung Low, with Harrison's encouragement, about bringing the poem home for live readings in the city.
