Helen is champion of funny women as writing prize shortlist revealed

The shortlist for the Comedy Women in Print Prizedevised by Helen Lederer-has been revealed.

The Published Novel shortlist offers four debut novels and the celebration of contemporary writing allows comedy to be conjured from ISIS brides, Fundamentally by Nussaibah Younis; aliens, Beautyland by Marie-Helen Bertino, and a 40-year-old radio producer facing up to the sex predators hiding behind her celebrity comedian, Don't Make Me Laugh by writer and stand-up Julia Raeside.
