Eternity is a film with that festive feelgood factor

It might not be a Christmas movie, but Eternity has all the elements required for a festive blockbuster - except tinsel and a tree.

David Freyne and Pat Cunnane’s metaphysical rom-com will doubtless appeal to anyone who's a fan of It’s A Wonderful Life and The Bishop's Wife, given its life-or-death theme that also echoes another David Niven film, A Matter of Life and Death.

Eternity is of course a modern movie and you can add sitcoms like The Good Place and Download to the ‘if you liked this’ list. It focuses on a married couple, who have been side by side for 67 years, but face the question: who do you want to spend the rest of your afterlife with?
