Holidaymakers flying in and out of Leeds Bradford Airport will benefit from upgraded terminal facilities this summer.
The airport officially opened its new terminal yesterday, marking the completion of the first phase of its £100m terminal expansion programme.
Vincent Hodder, CEO of Leeds Bradford Airport, described it as “an exciting time” following an “incredible journey”.
The expansion-the first major investment since the airport opened in 1968-has increased space in passenger areas by around 40 per cent with the number of seats rising by 83 per cent, LBA said.
Three new boarding gates have been added along with a new immigration area, baggage collection hall, and food and drink outlets.
