The Rollarena Oddity (June 29, 1973): Just days before retiring Ziggy Stardust forever, Bowie played two bizarre shows at the Leeds Rollarena - a converted roller skating rink in Kirkstall Road. The gig was originally meant for the university but was moved because of demand. The stage was so low that fans were practically nose-to-nose with the band, and the dressing rooms were the public skating changing rooms.
