Palliative care is falling short, warn MPs
Western Morning News
|November 28, 2025
PALLIATIVE care services in England can "fail to meet people's needs", according to a new report.
"Insufficient funds" were said to be available to palliative care services, which provide end-of-life care and care for people with life-limiting conditions.
A new report, commissioned by MPs on the House of Common's Health and Social Care Committee, found bereavement support for loved ones was "valuable but frequently inaccessible".
And it said palliative care patients and their families were "too rarely given the opportunity to plan effectively for the future".
