Murder investigation continues at woodland

LORAL tributes have been left at the scene of a murder investigation in woods near the village of Sticker, in Cornwall.

Bouquets and a teddy have been left near where officers from Devon and Cornwall Police continue their investigation into the death of Daniel Coleman, from St Austell, who is alleged to have been killed after going missing at the end of June.

Now in its fourth week, the woodland probe continues and includes specialist teams and equipment from several police forces around the country, as well as from the National Crime Agency.

The scale of the operation has led people to wonder if there might be more bodies in the woods - something Devon and Cornwall's Police and Crime Commissioner, Alison Hernandez, suggested in a comment she made to a police panel meeting last month. Her claim was later dismissed by Detective Superintendent Jon Bancroft, who is overseeing the investigation, and who said only Mr Coleman's remains had been found.
