Wotton keen for Torquay to break their away-day hoodoo

TORQUAY United manager Paul Wotton says he is “under no illusions” that the team’s away results have to change - hopefully starting today at Salisbury (KO 3pm).

The Gulls have a 100% home record after winning all five of their league games at Plainmoor so far, but away from home it has been a different story, with only two points earned - from draws at Maidstone United and Hampton & Richmond Borough - from four away days.

Wotton said: “In bits and bobs of away games, we have had some good stuff. We haven’t been quite consistent enough over 90-96 minutes to get the results we want.”
