Gulls hope to keep winning run going

TORQUAY United manager Paul Wotton was hoping to get one more player in to bolster his dilapidated squad ahead of today’s long trip to Chelmsford City.
Torquay are on a good winning run of four games and were explosive in the 7-0 home win against Eastbourne Borough on Saturday, and calm and calculated in their press of Worthing to come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 on Tuesday night, under the lights at Plainmoor.
But each game is its own idiosyncratic puzzle - and Chelmsford and back on the day means Wotton will be taking everyone who has a chance of playing with him on the journey, after the injury list increased on Tuesday, with Dan Hayfield, Dylan Morgan, and Jordan Thomas all seeing the physio this week. Key striker Louis Dennis ‘felt’ his hamstring in the warm up on Tuesday but went on to score two great goals.
So with Munashe Sundire, Cody Cooke, and Matt Worthington out with injuries, and Worthington and Callum Dolan unavailable anyway after that infamous ‘incident; the squad could be seriously stretched.
