We must all adapt to changing climate

Western Mail

|

August 16, 2025

AFTER an exceptionally dry start to the year and a series of sweltering summer heatwaves a drought was declared in four parts of Wales on Thursday.

Linking climate with individual extreme weather events can be problematic, according to scientists, but our lived experience of the last few years seems to show that heatwaves here and globally are getting more frequent and ever hotter.

It is hard not to believe what we see and feel - that our environment is heating up.

The glacial pace at which politicians are addressing this global risk of climate change is alarming.

Our world is warming and action is needed.
