SCOTLAND forwards coach Steve Tandy is understood to be the new frontrunner for the Wales head coach role, writes Ben James.
The former Ospreys boss has been working as Scotland’s defence coach since 2019, where he has gained considerable plaudits.
The 45-year-old was brought on the last British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa by Warren Gatland. Now, he is the favourite to replace Gatland - after the New Zealander walked away from his post on the back of a 14-Test losing run earlier this year.
