SEAGULLS MANAGER IS WILDE ABOUT MET VICTORY

MICHAEL Wilde won hundreds of games in the JD Cymru Premier during his glittering playing career, but few will have given his as much pleasure as his first in the top flight as a manger.

Having taken Colwyn Bay back into the Cymru Premier as Cymru South champions, he has turned his team into a solid outfit.

With four draws in their first five games, including one against champions The New Saints, the Seagulls have made an immediate impact.

But their 4-1 win on the road at Cardiff Met moved them up to seventh place in the table and proved they can score goals as well as stay compact.

“This came on the back of some disappointing results rather than performances,’ said Wilde, who won nine Premiership titles, six Welsh Cups and five League Cups during his playing days at Connah's Quay Nomads, Flint Town and TNS.

“The lads have been unbelievable from day one in preseason and we got our rewards today

“We scored some really good goals and thoroughly justified getting the three points.

“We've got to use this as a catalyst to move on to the next game.”

Louis Robles scored twice, Jordan Davies added the third and Lewis Sirrell rose high to head home the final goal in the 91st minute at Cyncoed.
