Merthyr, in second, sit just a point behind current leaders Pontypridd having played one match fewer.

The Ironmen maintained their 100 per cent winning start on Saturday with a 36-13 triumph at Llangennech.

Wing Corum Nott and centre Tom Hughes bagged braces with Ben Jones and Conor Murphy also dotting down as Llan were hit for six. Jones kicked three conversions.

Harrison Button scored the Llan try, converted by Steff Marshall who also landed two penalties.

Beddau, two points further back in third, were 33-6 home victors over Cardiff Met.
