WELSH tennis ace Mimi Xu has captured the Lexus Wrexham Open.

Xu defeated fellow British teenager Mika Stojsavljevic 6-3 7-5 in the final.

It is the biggest victory in the Swansea 18-year-old’s career so far.

And later in the day Xu teamed up with Ella McDonald to win the doubles title.

Xu started the opening set in blistering form as she stormed into a 5-1 lead.
