Job-hunting doctors 'let down' by NHS

AFTER years of study and hard work it's devastating for resident doctors in Wales, previously known as junior doctors, to be unable to find work here.

Newly qualified nurses at one health board in Wales face a similar problem with a lack of jobs.

‘These young medics have worked relentlessly through school and medical school and completed many hundreds of hours of free work for the NHS in Wales.

‘They blame those who plan how many doctors and nurses Wales needs.

For its part the Welsh Government says it relies on information from Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), the strategic body for NHS Wales.
