ASK any parent or carer and they'll say this time of year can feel relentless.

Jack Frost show spreads some Christmas warmth

Singing and dancing polar bear Bryn

Santa visits, Christmas shows, pantos... the list goes on.

You could very easily spend every spare moment - and pound - on Christmas activities and it’s really hard to know which will be worth it.

It’s a brilliant, magical, but exhausting time too. I don’t know about you, but I always worry there's every chance I'll shell out on expensive tickets only for everyone to be too wiped out to enjoy it, or for the weather to ruin any romantic notions of an outdoor trail.

But let me tell you, there's a really special, family-friendly show which offers a lovely festive experience in the heart of Cardiff that doesn’t break the bank.

The Cardiff Christmas Festival has returned to Sophia Gardens with the creation of the very beautiful Spiegel Theatre and we took our seats for their main show - Jack Frost: A Magical Christmas Musical.
