PONTYPRIDD remain two points clear at the top of the Admiral Premiership after their 26-19 bonus-point win over Cross Keys at Sardis Road.

Hughes haunts his old club as try keeps Ponty on top

Wing Joe Davies dotted down in each half for Ponty, with his second try on 73 minutes making sure of maximum points.

Former Keys hooker Connah Hughes scored against his old club, with replacement Jordan Coxley completing the home try scorers as they made it six wins from six.

Jaydan Pugh kicked three conversions.

Fullback Ralph Miller scored twice for Keys in the second half, with both tries converted by Lewis Stevens, adding to centre Aron Arthur's unconverted score in the first half.

Ponty skipper Cally James, said: “We're happy we got the bonus point, but there’s probably a lot of frustration in the camp I think where we could have probably scored a couple more tries.

“But at the end of the day, we got a bonus point and, fair play to Keys, they stuck in it”
