A COUPLE received abusive messages from a pub chef after they posted a review of the pub online.

- HOLLY MORGAN

The chef and the pub have since issued a public apology and police are looking into the matter.

Partners Naomi and Leanne Green went to the Waterloo Inn in Nash, Newport, last Sunday.

After they'd received their meals they told staff they weren't very pleased with their food, before they had their meals refunded and went on their way.

On the car journey to a different restaurant Leanne, who has 9,000 followers on Facebook, decided to upload a video to Facebook talking about their experience.

In the video Naomi described how the pickled vegetables were not to her taste and she said her "heart sank" when she saw the plate.

The caption of the video read: "So Naomi gets excited to find out the Waterloo in Nash is open again for cooked dinners but new owners.

"Bear in mind it was our place to go and the babies had their first dinner there.

"Well she kicked off told them it was disgusting the whole pub looked at us.

"The veg was pickled dark brown cabbage it looked like a plate of Branston.
