Boy died after motorbike and tractor crash - inquest

AN INQUEST into the death of a 14-year-old boy from Carmarthen has heard he died following a crash between a tractor and a motorbike.

Leon Arundel was pronounced dead at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) in Cardiff on October 30, the day after he had been involved in the crash.

A statement by Dr Roy was read to the court and Leon’s injuries were described as “catastrophic” Dr Roy said he died after suffering cardiac arrest, multi-organ failure and polytrauma.

The inquest was adjourned to a later date as the investigation being conducted by Dyfed-Powys Police remains ongoing.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision near a farm in the Llangynog area between Carmarthen and St Clears on Wednesday, November 29.
