Crwst has garnered a cult following for its brunch and bakery items and has also caught the eye of food writers, as Portia Jones reports

Award-winning café does something mind-blowing with doughnuts

IN THE heart of the historic town of Cardigan is a popular café and deli known for its delicious dishes and fresh bakes, including sourdough loaves, brioche doughnuts, and cinnamon swirls.

Crwst, founded by husband and wife Osian and Catrin Jones, is a swish 80-seater, attracting customers from miles around. Five years ago, the couple decided to pack in their jobs and make a living out of what they loved doing the most: baking and drinking coffee.

"We just wanted to bring something amazing back to rural west Wales," Cardigan-based owner Osian has previously said. "It's worked out brilliant for us now — we thought we'd maybe start somewhere in Cardiff and build it from there and then come back home. It's actually turned out we did the opposite and came straight home [to Cardigan], took the risk, and it's paid off so far."

Since their launch in 2018, the dynamic duo have grown the business and the foodie brand, taking on a second venue at Poppit Sands at the start of the Pembrokeshire coast path, where they serve Crwst's most popular bakes, ice creams and coffees.

As more locals and visitors learn of this fabulous café and brand, the demand for Crwst products grows.
