Bright future for Women
Western Gazette
|June 12, 2025
YEOVIL Town have announced a significant step forward in the future of women's football in the region.
-
Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust will now oversee the operations of Yeovil Town Women FC, driving forward a new era of participation, performance and community connection.
The move follows recent developments and represents a renewed commitment to investing in the women's and girls' game. The change ensures that the women's section continues as an integral part of the club, while benefitting from the dedicated leadership and resources of the Community Trust.
Jamie Phillip, CEO of Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust, said: "This is an amazing opportunity for the community to grow strong once again following Mr Srinivasan's announcement [of taking ownership of Yeovil Town]. While the Women & Girls section remains an integral part of the football club, the Community Trust has the dedicated staff and time required to give it the full attention it deserves - increasing both participation and performance.
"It's time to reconnect with the community and truly grow the women's game."
