FOREST Green Rovers boss Robbie Savage said that “no one can live with us” after his side's 2-1 win over Altrincham at the J Davidson Stadium on Tuesday evening.

A Nick Haughton free-kick and Ryan Inniss’ bullet header helped Rovers to take six points from two away games in the space of three days.

“We were magnificent, my team showed desire,” Savage said. “Credit to Phil Parkinson and his team, they played some good football, but no one can live with us at the minute.

“There's no doubt in anyone's mind that we deserved to win that tonight.”

Inniss scored the winner with 15 minutes left to play as he powered Jayden Clarke's corner in at the front post with a bullet header past the magnificent Luke Hutchinson.

“Dan Watson (set piece coach) is brilliant, we scored a set piece against Wolves Under-21s and we work on that, we're relentless and we work as hard as anybody else,” Savage said.

‘The game was paused momentarily during the first half after a report of homophobic abuse from the crowd was directed at a Forest Green player.
