JOHANN van Graan must accept three of his physical big hitters are set for a spell on the sidelines following confirmation that his two starting locks have suffered knee injuries.

England international Charlie Ewels and Irish international Quinn Roux both limped from the pitch on Friday night as the Blue, Black and White beat Sale Sharks 28-16 at the Recreation Ground.

In the final throws of the game, England international Ted Hill, who had moved from blindside flanker to lock to cover the earlier injuries, was folded up awkwardly in a tackle and van Graan confirmed he has also suffered an ankle injury.
