Tim, from Burnham-on-Sea, says he spotted the mound of waste on the Somerset Levels Near Westhay on Friday.
Photos from the scene show a number of corrugated roof sheets and mattresses piled against a backdrop of lush green grass and clear blue skies.
And Tim, 69, who says it’s a “regular occurrence” in the area, claims he could clearly see asbestos, which worried him the most.
“I go all over the Levels and for the last few years now, it’s just a regular occurrence everywhere,” he said.
“But the one I saw yesterday really angered me because of what I believe is asbestos.
