Famous dames star in cheeky charity video

IN a humorous video to help out a Cornwall-based charity Dame Judi Dench has re-gifted her Christmas red thong to Dame Imelda Staunton.

The Oscar-winning actress presents the underwear - commenting “Red’s not my colour” - before placing it into a Christmas bag ready to be left at the doorstep of her friend and fellow theatre legend.

Upon opening the bag with anticipation Dame Imelda is taken aback as she pulls out the “skimpy underwear".

Then, looking somewhat embarrassed, she remarks: “It’s a bit big, isn't it?” before discarding the garment on the floor.

The video is in aid of ShelterBox, which was founded in Helston and provides emergency shelter and other essential household items for families affected by disaster, conflict or the climate crisis.
