Peacocks loud and proud in small community

Souris Mayor Duane Davison stands next to the large metal peacock in Souris, Man., last month. The colourful creatures were introduced to the town in 1984 and have been roaming the rural community ever since.

The 85-year-old spends his days maintaining a local church, tending to flower beds in a park and making sure town equipment is gassed up.
