A change in diet led to so much more for Kayleigh
The Tiverton Gazette
|July 01, 2025
FROM the outside, The Little Park Pantry in Sampford Peverell may look like a picturesque food stop tucked beside a canal path. But for Kayleigh Gubby, it's far more than that.
It's the culmination of a deeply personal journey - one that began with navigated food intolerances and ended with a community-focused food philosophy.
At 39, Kayleigh isn't new to the food scene. She spent years as the owner-chef at The Royal Oak in Dolton before launching Keke's Clean Eats - a wholefood venture born from her own health issues.
"I discovered I had multiple food intolerances and spent years feeling unwell until I began cutting out additives and ultra-processed foods," she said. "That healing transformed my entire philosophy around food."
Out of that experience came Keke's Clean Eats, which quickly developed a loyal following.
"I wanted to offer food that was comforting, vibrant, and safe," she said. "Especially for people who live with intolerances, allergies, or simply want to feel good without overthinking every ingredient.
"Everything was made from scratch with ingredients you could actually pronounce."
But as her connection to the community deepened, Kayleigh began to crave more time working face-to-face with the public. "Home meal prep is amazing," she said, "but I missed the rhythm of working with the seasons and with people, in real time."
