BLACKBURN boss Valerien Ismael identified Rovers’ desire as the reason they ended a tough 2025 with a much-needed 2-0 win over playoff hopefuls Millwall.

After just one win in 10, the hosts raced out of the traps to put an out-of-sorts Millwall away with two goals in the first half, as Andri Gudjohnsen crashed in his fourth in his last seven games in the third minute.

Yuki Ohashi doubled the lead just before the break and he will not score an easier one, punishing a communication breakdown in the Millwall defence.

And there were no second-half dramas as Blackburn comfortably held on for a first home clean sheet win since February to ease their relegation fears.
