New Rodri deal as Klopp's No.2 joins Guardiola

MANCHESTER CITY are ready to hand Ballon d'Or winner Rodri a new deal.

The Spain midfielder has been negotiating with the club for almost a year, but was sidelined until the final week of the season after rupturing a cruciate ligament in September.

City’s medical team have been astonished by the rate of Rodri’s recovery and he is now set to play a big part in the Club World Cup after returning to action as a substitute in the penultimate game of the season.
