LIONEL MESSI has taken Major League Soccer to a new level.

That is the view of the league's commissioner Don Garber after Messi fired Inter Miami to victory in their opening playoff game.

Messi scored twice as Inter Miami beat Nashville SC 3-1 to begin the best-ofthree first-round series.

Messi, 38, headed to Florida from Paris SaintGermain in 2023 and has continued to light up the footballing world.
