GOLDEN ACE was again the beneficiary of outrageous fortune in a chaotic Fighting Fifth Hurdle that left National Hunt great Constitution Hill's career stranded at a crossroads.

Jeremy Scott's mare made the most of falls by Constitution Hill and State Man to lift the most dramatic Champion Hurdle in Cheltenham history at 25-1 last March.

And Golden Ace once more came out on top with a 22-1 shock in Newcastles BetMGM-sponsored Grade 1 yesterday - but only after market leaders Constitution Hill and The New Lion had crashed out.
