S$1m raised in Singapore handed to Egyptian Red Crescent to aid Palestinian families in Gaza

A second tranche of donations raised in Singapore, totaling S$1 million, has been handed to the Egyptian Red Crescent to support Palestinian families affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
The funds are part of the S$2.4 million raised by local charity Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF) between Feb 24 and April 6, in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef), the Egyptian Red Crescent and local humanitarian partner Humanity Matters.
The sum will provide food, clean water, medical supplies, healthcare and education for affected families in Gaza, said RLAF in a statement on Sept 2.
