Reconsider clearing natural forest along Sungei Serangoon

I am writing to express a deep concern about the planned clearance of the natural forest along the Sungei Serangoon riverbank to make way for a bus depot and related infrastructure.

This forested stretch, together with the park connector, has become an essential recreational and well-being space for the community. Families walk here in the evenings, seniors exercise under the shade, and residents find a quiet refuge from the stresses of daily life. The fresh air, cooling canopy and birdlife create a unique environment that cannot be replicated once lost.
