Shohei Ohtani said he is not in pain after suffering a shoulder injury in Game 2 of the World Series, but the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger did not rule out the possibility he will need surgery to deal with the issue.

The Japanese star was able to take the field for Game 3 on Oct 28 as the Dodgers beat the Yankees 4-2 in New York to move to the brink of the title. However, he delivered a low-key performance by his lofty standards.
The 30-year-old lit up Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2024 as he became the first man to record 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season, but has not pitched since September 2023 after undergoing right elbow surgery.
