Notebook brand Moleskine expanding in S'pore

The global stationery and supplies market has been on an incline over the years and is forecast to reach US$186.19 billion (S$245 billion) in market value by 2030, despite the infiltration of laptops, tablets and smartphones.

The forecast by research and advisory firm Mordor Intelligence also pointed to the Asia-Pacific as set to be the fastest-growing market.

Italian notebook brand Moleskine, which opened a small boutique at basement one of Takashimaya Shopping Centre earlier in April, is well-poised to capture the growing market in the region, particularly in Asia.

The brand has another store in Paragon, and plans to open its third store in Tanglin Mall in June. Moleskine also retails in bookstores such as Kinokuniya, and at selected travel retail WHSmith stores.
