Top fashion magazine Vogue has gone to the dogs – literally. Dogue, its annual digital publication which highlights celebrities' fur babies, has some top dogs on its covers, including those belonging to K-pop girl group Blackpink's Rose and American singer-actress Sabrina Carpenter. Released on Aug 18, Dogue also featured pets owned by personalities such as Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton, Colombian pop star Maluma and American actress Mikey Madison.
FULFILMENT OF ROSE'S 'DOG MUM' DESTINY
One of the most-followed celebrity dogs on Instagram, Rose's terrier mix Hank – with 4.6 million fans – was a Covid-19 pet.
During the pandemic, the K-pop idol was quarantined at home in Seoul after a whirlwind string of international performances with Blackpink, including the In Your Area world tour (2018 to 2020). She was scrolling through Instagram in 2020 when she came across a seven-month-old puppy seeking a forever home.
“I was just so drawn to his story. My family and I got to meet Hank, and as soon as I saw him, my heart was stolen. The next day, we decided to adopt him,” the Apt. (2024) singer said in an interview with Vogue US, adding that she knew she would be a “dog mum” someday.
Next was the naming of the puppy, which went from Bluey to Benji, but nothing felt right, said Rose, 28.
