Four-goal hero 'Ice-Cole' rues the ones that got away

Cole Palmer confirmed his ice-cool status on Sept 28 with four nerveless goals in Chelsea's 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion but complained he should have scored more.

"I should have had five or six," he told the BBC after becoming the first player to score four in the first half of an English Premier League game.

"When I missed the first chance I was upset but, with the way they played and their high line, I felt we'd get more chances," he added.

Blues manager Enzo Maresca called him the "best player of the Premier League".

Palmer hit the post and had a goal ruled out for offside in a frantic first half where he shone.

The 22-year-old also missed an open goal in the second half and hid his face in frustration. This despite scoring a 10-minute hat-trick.

Georginio Rutter and Carlos Baleba bagged Brighton's goals.
