Stalin slams Bill to remove jailed PM, CMs & ministers

Lashing out at the Modi government for bringing the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill, providing for the removal of a Chief Minister following 30 days arrest, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday termed it as a 'Black Bill' and a 'Black Day' for the country.
Joining the opposition in condemning the Bill, the Chief Minister said that it is not a reform but a precursor for BJP dictatorship. "30-day arrest — Removal of an elected CM. No trial, no conviction — just BJP's DIKTAT. This is how DICTATORSHIPS begin: Steal votes, Silence rivals and Crush States. I strongly condemn this Bill, which strikes at the very root of democracy," he wrote in a lengthy post on 'X', calling upon all the democratic forces to unite against this attempt to turn India into a dictatorship.
