Siddaramaiah questions BJP’s right to seek CBI probe in Ballari case

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday criticised the BJP's demand to hand over the Ballari firing case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), questioning the party's moral authority and accusing it of undermining democratic principles.
Speaking to reporters here, Siddaramaiah said the BJP's statement seeking a CBI probe was a matter of concern. He asked the party to first explain its own record when it was in power. "Let the BJP tell us which cases it has given to the CBI before. Which cases did it give when it was in power? What moral right does it have to make such demands?" the Chief Minister asked. Siddaramaiah said his government had referred several sensitive cases to the CBI in the past, demonstrating its commitment to transparency and impartial
