'Saugat-e-Satta': Uddhav Thackeray's jibe at Modi's Eid kits

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, in a scathing attack on the BJP-led Mahayuti government at a press conference on Thursday, criticised the saffron party's 'Saugat-e-Modi' Eid kits, calling it "Saugat-e-Satta" (gift to gain political power) and an example of hypocrisy with regard to its Hindutva ideology.
"This is not Saugat-e-Modi but Saugat-e-Satta. This initiative is only for the Bihar assembly elections. The BJP has resorted to satta-jihad," Thackeray said, criticising the BJP leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Uddhav Thackeray accused the BJP of abandoning Hindutva and resorting to desperate measures like distributing Eid kits to Muslims just before the Bihar polls.
