Aiming to provide easier accessibility to the differently abled passengers, the Eastern Railway has taken up a host of measures at various stations in Howrah Division.
Under the Central government's flagship initiative, "Sugamya Bharat Mission" (Accessible India Campaign), the Howrah Division has built standard ramps with double-height handrails at station entry and exit points to allow safe and easy navigation for wheelchair users and others with mobility challenges.
